How to Save (Lock) a Clip During a Drive

During a drive you can lock any moment as an incident. Hawk captures footage immediately before and after your tap, creating a permanent clip that cannot be overwritten.

Step-by-step

  1. Start a drive

    Tap Start Dashcam from the Drive tab to begin recording.

  2. Tap "Save Incident" when something happens

    On the driving screen, tap Save Incident. Hawk locks a clip covering footage immediately before and after your tap.

  3. Find your clip in the Evidence tab

    Open the Evidence tab after stopping. Your locked incident appears in the Incidents section with a file-integrity badge.

How many clips can I save per month?

Free users can save up to 10 clips per month. Pro users have a higher allowance — check your usage in Settings.
