Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 February 2026

MRVL Technologies ("we", "us", or "our") operates mobile applications and websites. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.

The short version — what actually matters

We don't sell your data. Never have, never will. Your information is used only to run our apps.
Most apps work without an account. You only need to sign in if you want cloud sync or cross-device features.
We don't store your payment details. All purchases go through Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see your card number.
You can delete everything. Account and data deletion is available in-app, and we'll action any request within 48 hours.
Location is opt-in only. We only use location data in apps that genuinely need it (e.g. finding nearby EV chargers), and only with your explicit permission.

1 Information We Collect

We only collect what we actually need. Depending on which app you use, this may include:

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password when you choose to create an account.
  • Usage data: How you interact with our apps — features used, session duration, and crash reports. This helps us fix bugs and improve the experience.
  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers. Used to diagnose technical issues and understand which platforms to support.
  • Content you create: Any content you upload, generate, or store within our apps (e.g. recordings, notes, invoices, photos). This data belongs to you.
  • Payment information: Subscription purchases are processed entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play. We do not receive, store, or have access to your card details.
  • Location data: Only where expressly required by app functionality (e.g. EV charger finder), and only with your explicit permission. You can revoke access at any time in your device settings.
  • Install attribution: Anonymous install source and launch counts, used to understand which marketing channels are working. No personally identifiable information is linked to this data.

2 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain our apps and services
  • Improve, personalise, and expand our services
  • Understand and analyse how you use our apps so we can build better features
  • Send you service-related communications — account confirmations, security alerts, and important updates
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security issues
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or to make automated decisions that significantly affect you.

3 Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. We use Supabase (PostgreSQL) for database infrastructure, with row-level security policies that ensure users can only access their own data. All data in transit is protected by TLS/HTTPS.

We take reasonable and proportionate steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

In the event of a data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority as required by UK GDPR.

4 Third-Party Services

Our apps use the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy and data practices:

  • Supabase: Database, authentication, and file storage infrastructure. Data is stored in the EU/UK region.
  • Apple App Store / Google Play: All in-app purchase and subscription billing. We never receive your payment details.
  • Stripe: Payment processing for web-based purchases where applicable. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant.
  • OpenAI and other AI providers: AI-powered features such as writing assistance, transcription, and content generation. Content sent to these services is processed to generate a response and is not used to train their models under our enterprise agreements.
  • Attribr by MRVL: Our own install attribution and retention analytics SDK. This collects anonymous install counts and launch events — no personally identifiable information is collected or linked to individual users.

5 Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers: Companies that help us operate our services (e.g. hosting, analytics), under strict data processing agreements that prohibit them from using your data for any other purpose.
  • Legal requirements: Law enforcement or regulatory authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred. We will notify you with at least 30 days' notice before any such transfer takes effect, and you will have the option to delete your account.

6 Your Rights (UK GDPR)

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data. We will respond to all requests within 30 days.

  • Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to rectification: Request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to erasure: Request deletion of your data — the "right to be forgotten." For most apps, you can do this directly in-app under Settings → Account → Delete Account.
  • Right to restriction: Request that we limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
  • Right to portability: Receive a copy of your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to object: Object to our processing of your data where we rely on legitimate interests as the legal basis.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@mrvltechnologies.com. If you believe we have not handled your data correctly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

7 Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, financial records for HMRC compliance).

Crash reports and anonymous usage analytics are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are automatically deleted.

8 Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete that information promptly.

For apps specifically designed for younger audiences or educational use, we provide additional protections and parental controls as described within those apps.

9 Cookies & Tracking

Our mobile apps do not use cookies.

Our websites may use essential cookies required for the site to function (e.g. remembering your preferences). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences at any time.

10 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

For material changes — those that meaningfully affect your rights or how we use your data — we will provide at least 14 days' notice via in-app notification or email before the changes take effect. Continued use of our services after that period constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
