Automated Customer Review Request Card: TapTrust NFC
TapTrust is an NFC customer review card that automates Google review collection: customers tap your card on their phone, your contact details and review prompt load instantly, they leave a verified review, and you capture their lead in real time.
What is an automated review request card?
An automated review request card is a smart card that asks customers for feedback without manual outreach. TapTrust uses NFC (near-field communication) technology: when a customer taps your card on their phone, it opens your digital profile, shows your Google review link, and captures their contact details in one tap. No QR codes. No links to copy. No signup required on their end. The customer taps, sees your business card, leaves a review if they choose, and you get a verified lead. Most businesses rely on email or text reminders to ask for reviews, which go unread or get ignored. An NFC card sits in your pocket and does the asking for you.
How TapTrust works as a review request tool
Each TapTrust card is both a digital business card and a review collection point. When a customer taps your NFC card, they see your contact details, location, and social links. Below that is a Google review button. They tap it, sign in to Google, and leave a review. You see the tap happen in real time on your dashboard, including their location and the device they used. If they leave a review, it goes through Google's verification system (no fake reviews). Simultaneously, TapTrust collects their phone number or email as a lead. On the Plus tier and above, you can add a lead capture form to ask for name, email, or phone before the review prompt. The Business+ plan exports all leads as a CSV file for your CRM.
Who uses TapTrust for review collection?
Any business that meets clients face to face benefits from an NFC review card. Estate agents hand them to buyers at viewings. Mortgage brokers give them at consultations. Restaurants leave them at the till. Salons hand them to clients after appointments. Gyms give them to new members. Freelancers and creatives use them at networking events as a smart alternative to paper business cards. Retail teams use them at point of sale. Service businesses (plumbers, electricians, cleaners) leave them after completing a job. The common thread: you want verified Google reviews, you want to capture contact details, and you want to do both in one interaction, without asking the customer to remember anything.
TapTrust pricing and tiers
TapTrust Free lets you send 3 reviews per month and manage 1 profile card. Plus tier costs £2.99 per month or £24.99 per year, giving you 3 profile cards, unlimited reviews, and £2 monthly credit towards NFC cards. Pro tier is £5.99 monthly or £49.99 yearly, unlocking 5 profiles, the ability to program your own NFC tags, and £5 monthly credit. Business+ and Enterprise plans include lead CSV export, custom domains, team management, and white label options. Pricing is shown in GBP as of June 2026. Key differences from other review collection methods
Text message reminders and email campaigns rely on customers remembering to act. QR codes require the customer to open their camera, scan, then navigate a webpage. A physical paper business card goes in a drawer and is forgotten. An NFC card does the work in one tap: it delivers your business card, opens the review prompt, and captures the lead simultaneously. You also get real time analytics showing every tap, the location of each tap, and which device was used. Unlike generic customer relationship management platforms, TapTrust is specifically built around the moment after a transaction, when a customer has their phone in hand and the interaction is fresh. If you need to monitor brand mentions online, consider using Monitr for social listening to complement your review strategy.
Getting the most from your NFC review cards
Hand the card out at the moment of completion, not weeks later. After a haircut, a meal, a transaction, or a service call, the customer is most likely to leave a review if you ask immediately. Use the tap analytics to track which locations and times get the most engagement. Test different wording in your profile card (for example, some profiles succeed with a simple 'Thank you, please review' while others add a Streak bonus message). The Plus tier and above lets you run Streak bonuses: you offer a small incentive (entry into a monthly draw, discount code, etc.) to customers who tap the card and leave a review. This increases conversion from tap to verified review. Order physical NFC cards from the TapTrust dashboard and carry them as you would business cards. They cost a few pence per card and last indefinitely.

Frequently asked questions
Do customers need to sign up to use my TapTrust card?
No. When they tap the card, your profile loads instantly. If they leave a review, they sign in to Google (which they already have), but they don't create a TapTrust account. The whole interaction takes under 30 seconds.
Will TapTrust collect fake reviews?
No. Every review left through TapTrust goes through Google's own verification system. Google only publishes reviews from legitimate, logged in accounts. TapTrust never generates or fabricates reviews.
Can I reprogram my own NFC tags with TapTrust?
Yes, but only on Pro tier or above. Pro and higher plans unlock NFC tag writing, so you can program blank NFC chips yourself or reuse old ones. Lower tiers use pre-printed cards only.
What happens when a customer taps my NFC card?
Your digital business card and contact details appear on their screen instantly. They see your Google review link, social media, location, and phone number. If a lead form is enabled, they fill it in. Then they tap the review button, sign into Google, and leave a review. You get their details in real time on your dashboard.
How much do NFC cards cost?
Physical NFC cards ordered through TapTrust cost from 5p to 15p per card depending on order volume, plus shipping. You order them from your dashboard. The app itself is free to download and use on the Free plan.
Can I export leads from TapTrust to my CRM?
Yes, but only on Business+ tier. Business+ includes CSV export of all tap data and lead capture form submissions, which you can import into your CRM. Lower tiers show leads in the TapTrust dashboard only.
